Privacy Policy
Pikewood LLC ("we", "us") builds apps for mobile and desktop platforms and operates this website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to all Pikewood LLC apps; app-specific details are described in their own sections below.
Our approach, in short
- We collect only what an app needs to do its job.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.
- Data you store in our apps is yours. You can export or delete it at any time.
Accounts and data storage
Our apps let you create an account so your data can sync securely across your devices. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form). Content you create in an app — such as recipes, tracking entries, maintenance records, or receipts — is stored on our servers so it is available on all of your devices. Data is encrypted in transit.
You may delete your account at any time from within each app. Deleting your account permanently removes your account information and stored content from our servers, except where we are required to retain records by law.
AI-powered features
Some features in our apps use artificial intelligence to process content you provide — for example, generating recipes or reading the details from a receipt you photograph. To provide these features, the relevant content is sent to our AI service provider, Anthropic (Claude), for processing. This content is used only to provide the feature you requested; it is not used by us for advertising and is not sold. Processing is subject to Anthropic's commercial data-use commitments, under which API inputs are not used to train their models.
App-specific disclosures
Ketogen
- What it collects: your account details, dietary preferences, recipes you generate or save, and tracking entries you choose to log (which may include food intake and wellness-related information such as weight or goals).
- Why: to generate recipes suited to your preferences, keep your history and tracking data in sync across devices, and show your progress over time.
- AI processing: recipe generation is powered by Claude; your preferences and requests are sent to Anthropic solely to generate your recipes.
- Health-related note: tracking data you log is treated as sensitive. It is never sold, never shared for advertising, and is used only to provide the app's features to you.
Vehicle Maintenance Tracker
- What it collects: your account details, vehicle information you enter, maintenance records, and photos of receipts or invoices you capture. Receipt images may incidentally contain personal details such as names, addresses, or amounts.
- Why: to maintain your vehicle's service history and keep it in sync across devices.
- AI processing: receipts and invoices you capture are parsed by Claude to extract details such as vendor, date, and cost, so you don't have to enter them by hand. Images are sent to Anthropic solely for this parsing.
- Camera access: the app requests camera access only to let you photograph receipts and invoices.
Analytics
Website: this website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited and approximate location. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Apps: our apps do not currently include third-party analytics. If we add analytics or crash reporting to an app in the future, we will update this policy and each app's App Store privacy details before doing so.
Third-party services
We use a small number of service providers to operate our apps and website — hosting/cloud infrastructure, Anthropic for AI processing as described above, and Google Analytics on the website. These providers process data only on our behalf and under agreements that restrict their use of it.
Data retention
We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, or a specific piece of content, it is removed from our active systems promptly and from backups on a rolling basis.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time within our apps, or by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what data we hold about you and to request its deletion. Children
Our apps and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting an app will also be noted in that app's release notes.
